Terry;
Please keep me posted on any new information. I understood that there was an article on the crash that someone in Michigan Tuohey side had to share.

I have articles relating to a plane crash by a Tuohey into a Lake, but he wasn't carrying Mail. I also have articles regarding another plane Piloted by another Tuohey (John Michael)in 1957 that crashed. They are another Hard Drive and I can dig them up if the interest is there.

Since my posting I have the same research data your are referring to based on publications of the day. Thanks for the hint. BTW if you are a distant relative, please let me know your interest in the tuohey lineage.

I am Casey Tuohey, daughter of Michael Edward Tuohey.
ME Tuohey was son of John Tuohey who died in the plane accident in 1956(?). I had a great uncle Johnnie and various other relatives, but all are dead besides my Aunt Patricia and her kids. I have a brother Michael John. Ours is a sparse family tree, since the only Tuohey family I knew I only knew as a toddler. I may have a half sister on the Tuohey side, Kathrine Margaret, but my father claimed she wasn't his child. As I was not born until the 70's I never knew my paternal grandparents.

I started this thread. I work with Bill Oberman in Van Nuys, CA. He returns to Michigan every so often to visit relatives. He would be your first cousin. Why don't you write him and say hi. I believe he has some photos.
