Hi there
I'm looking for any info on JOAN E TUMBER born 1917 in St George Hanover Square but brought up in New Romney in Kent.
Mother ETHEL ELLEN TUMBER 1879 New Romney
Father SAMUEL THATCHER c1875 Australia (bigamously married Ethel and went back to Australia)
Joan married HORACE W ROGERS born 1910 Boston, Lincs
Children KATHLEEN IRENE ROGERS born Stepney, London 1938
ROSEMARY ANNE ROGERS born Hertford 1939.

Horace died in 1956 in Boston following a fall from some scaffolding and Joan had a breakdown and was admitted to Napsbury Mental Hospital. Kathleen and Rosemary I believe went to live with some relatives in New Romney, Kent.

Kathleen and Rosemary are my cousins and were also my godparents when I was baptised. I'd love to hear from anyone who knows anything about the family.
