Hi, my name is Sarah and i live in Rotterdam Holland.
My great-grandmother was a Tugendhaft from Germany who lived in Rotterdam, and later moved to Amsterdam.
All i know is that she was born in Germany probably in the late 1800s.
She married a dutch man (van Loenen) and got a couple of children (my grandfather Johan van Loenen, 5/6/1916- 25/11/1990).
My father (Herman van Loenen) was born just before the war 10/3/1938, and after the war my grandparents got divorced so i never knew my grandfather, and i deeply regret the fact that i know absolutely nothing about my jewish-roots.
Especially because my parents deliberately gave me a Jewish name: Sarah, and i would love to also do that if one day i have children.
Because Tugendhaft is a German name meaning 'Virtuous' does anybody know something about the ancestors in Germany?

Kind regards, Sarah van Loenen (5/3/1978)
