About 25 years ago a graduate from Exeter Universty (South West England) contacted my mother for information about Tuffields. She was reasearching her dissertation and said she believed that "Tuffield" was the rarest name of English heritage.

I know 2 things, my fathers familly are tracable back to East Anglia, and there aren't many of us.

Hi, I'm also a Tuffield and my relatives are from East Anglia.. Neil Tuffield (my cousin) in WA has a notice in this section. We are decendants of Chris Tuffield and Kathryn Dennis. My grandfather was Chris, his brothers were Francis, Arthur (who's memorial is in Norwich cathedral) and other brothers were Frank, & ? Sisters Maude, Rosa, I think + a couple more (I have a copy of our family tree - not presently with me), it's possible we are linked.. please advise information you have. Thanks, Gail
