After my Grandfather's Jack Price) first wife, Letitia Penny died in 1914, he married again on June 9, 1917. His second wife was Ethel Sarah Tudge. The Tudge family lived at Naramata on Munson’s Mountain. Ethel had a brother John or Fred Tudge, who may have been a policeman, and her father I believe was Leonard John Tudge., Kamloops BC. There were a number of Tudge familes in the Penticton and Kamloops areas. I think that they originated in England and emigrated to southern Saskatchewan, Wapella, Broadview area. This is the record from the register of marriages from the B.C Government.

Groom Name: JOHN PRICE
Bride Name: ETHEL SARAH TUDGE
Event Date: 1917 6 9 (Yr/Mo/Day)
Event Place: VANCOUVER

I have some additional information that comes from Canada census (1891) for some tudges in Saskatchewan.

Barry Price, North Vancouver BC. Canada

Barry-

I would be very interested in the info from Saskatchewan. I am also a Tudge descendant also living in BC though from a different branch of the family. I have copies of all the death certicates of the Tudges who have passed away in BC which provide a wealth of info re names of parents, places of birth etc. if anyone is interested.

oug. This is a summary, I will look for the more detailed version:
It is interesting to note that a large family named Tudge also lived in the Broadview area at that time. Grandpa Jack Price married, secondly, Ethel Sarah Tudge in Penticton or Naramata. The following Tudges are listed in Broadview, in the 1891 census:

CHARLES TUDGE CHRISTINA TUDGE
ELIZABETH TUDGE JESSIE TUDGE
JOHN TUDGE LAURA TUDGE
POLLY TUDGE SARAH TUDGE
WILLIAM TUDGE.

There were also a number of Tudges listed for the Wapella, Saskatchewan area from 1886-1901.

Hi, my name is Kelsey, and i am a grade 11 student. For our history class this semester we are doing soldier files to comemerate the many soldiers that have lost their lives in the first world war. The soldier I am researching is James Tudge. His parents were L.J and Sarah Tudge, he was born in Wapella Sask and later moved to Kamloops B.C. If you have any information you could share with me that would be greatly appreciated, but im kind of on a tight schedule, my due date is Monday, January 23, 2012 . My e-mail address is elizabeth-095@hotmail.com
Thank you so much
Kelsey
