I am a descendant of Robert Tuddenham who was born in Cawston in 1801 and died 1874 (Wheelwright and Carpenter) and Elizabeth ????? born Gilderstone who both resided in Great Witchingham, Norfolk. Their son William Philip Tuddenham was my Great Grandfather. I have often wondered why on their grave stone in South Walsham Churchyard, was his name given as William Press Tuddenham, have you any details, also can you give Elizabeth's surname ?
13 children you say, I only know of 7, my father knew of a family member who was lost at sea but didn't have any details to pass on, have you ?
Best Regards
Peter Tuddenham

I noticed your reference to Phebe Tuddenham and John Tuck. They are my ancestors. I have a fascinating old notebook that was kept, I believe, by Pheobe that lists her siblings and children. I also have many lists of Tucks and Tuddenhams and Southgates in this family tree. If you'd like all the details, please get in touch. Perhaps we can exchange trees?

Hi Connie,
I tried to e-mail you but it bounced back, apparently because your ISP doesn't accept mail from a broadband conncection. Could you write to my e-mail address or give me an alternative e-mail address of your own and we can exchange all the data.

Pheobe Tuddenham who married John Tuck of Little Snoring was born Jan 29th 1812, the daughter of John Tuddenham (she writes it as Tudman) and Sarah Palmer. Phoebe married John Tuck in 1829.

One of her children was called Sarah Ann Tuck, and she married my great-great grandfather, William Southgate of Great Snoring.

I have photos of some of these people and contacts for you to write to, if you'd like. Get in touch.

Hi Connie. Yes, I did know your e-mail address before, but the mail I send there bounces because your ISP rejects it. Could you please write to my e-mail address, so I can work out why this happens and see if I can get mail to you. Thanks!

Hello,
Check out the diaries of Parson James Woodforde (Google him to find out more) - he kept a diary every day and between 1776 and 1803 he lived in Weston Longville, the village next to Great Witchingham in Norfolk, England. There is refernce to a 'Goody' Tuddenham in the diary - her Christian name would be3 something else and Goody a common nickname for an older, housewife of the village.
