Hello Melissa,
I saw your post, my sister was married to a Weldon Tucek from Canyon, Texas and I have a niece named Melissa Tucek.

My sisters father in law was Raymond Tucek, the story that was always told is. Raymonds father and his brother stowed away on a ship to come to America, upon landing in New York the 2 brothers were seperated and never knew what happened to each other. My sister always looks in phone books when she goes somewhere to see if she can find a contact.
You can e-mail me at jssteele@pldi.net
Thanks,
Sandra

My husbands grandfather JOSEPH TUCEK lists his mother's name as ANNA on his marriage application in 1903 in IOWA, Plymouth Co. That's about as much as we know. We have checked the Ellis Island Site and a Josef Tucek came over in 1892 that was close to the age our Joseph. If anything close would love to hear from you.

Hi there,
I am doing a bit of a research myself. I am looking for Anna Tucek born 1889. Traveled to USA by boat with Frank Tucek born 1890. Anna Tucek is sister of my grandmother's mother. We live and always have in Czech Republic and we are wondering what happened to them. We believe, but have no evidence, that they moved to Maryland. The last lead we have is: Bohemian National Cemetery, Oak Hill Cemetery, Armistead Gardens, Baltimore City. Bits and peaces and a few photos.

Well, If we are in any way related...please contact me at your convenience.

Best Regards,

Petr Turek

Hi my great grandmother was Anna Tucek(born Bohemia 14 april 1889-d-1975) and husband Frank - they lived in Baltimore MD. They had 2 daughters Marie & Lillian (my grandmother). Can't find them entering through Ellis Island but it may have been Baltimore Harbor? They returned to Hungary to visit family - this time they went through Ellis Island and returned through Ellis Island - My grandmother was around 5 years old at the time - ( I have ship's manafest for this) she (Lillian) later married August Kozlovsky in Baltimore Maryland. Lillian Tucek Kozlovsky passed away last year. I hope there is a relation because we would live to trace family in Hungary. If this sounds like we could be related let me know and I will get exact info together for you!
