Talofa Lava! Glad to be back again on our familee board, I'm posting all the way from the land of Paradise, Vailoatai , American Samoa. Visiting our familee board and see some new names, that's fine and glad to see you on our flight. Hello! my dear Tauile va Reddy, yes! we haven't seen each other personally, but we are in the same clan. The originator of the Tuatagaloa title is from Falealili, Western Samoa. Your grandfather Tuatagaloa Simaile is one of the oldies that bestowed the Tuatagaloa title to our great-grandfather LOPA SOLI of Vailoatai, than his son (our grandfather) Tuatagaloa Manase, than to his grandson Semeli (Manase) Tuatagaloa who just passed away two years ago and that 's Manase's dad, whose posting from Utah. The Tuatagaloa title in Vailoatai, Am. Samoa is still vacant as of now. We are the only Tuatagaloa clan in American Samoa besides aunty Simeaola Unutoa of Aua and Te'o Annesly Tuatagaloa, are from Upolu side and some other family members I didn't mention. Well hope this is cleared enough to you. But anyways, still we are all under the same umbrella..... Oh!!! Christmas is around the corner and this message is all the da way from Vailoatai, American Samoa to all the Tuatagaloa clans around the da world....... Just to send a warm Christmas greetings and a very very Happy New Year & May God Bless You All!!!! SOIFUA MA IA MANUIA LE TATOU AIGA.

To all the Tuatagaloa clan - Malo lava le soifua and happy new year. Sorry it's been a long time since I logged on to our family discussion. Anyway, I just want to let you all Tuatagaloa out there know, that our Tuatagaloa family yearly lotu and get together is still taking place each year. I was not able to attend this year's one which was held on the 14th of January 2012. From what I have heard, our family is going to build our faletalimalo in Poutasi again. Not sure if it's near the sea or near the main road. But with four faletama - four different sides who were present at the family lotu, each side is going to contribute $20,000 each. The first collection of $3,000 tala which will be collected from each side on March, 2012. I have also heard that Tuatagaloa Joe Annandale - suggested that he really wanted to see all the children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and so on of our extended family. I believe it will be a great project, and hopefully in the near future, we can propose to Uncle Tuatagaloa Joe, to have a Tuatagaloa family reunion. So whoever will be able to make it to Poutasi on that time, we'll be looking forward to see all the missing cousins. Of course we all come from the same man - the original Tuatagaloa - who had five wifes. Let's not share our family history with others who do not know us. We know who we are and God bless our family. Saina and her husband are still staying in Poutasi and she is the most wonderful young women I have ever known. It will be nice for the rest of us to get in contact and make a difference to our district - Falealili and to our ancestral village Poutasi. Alofa tele mo outou and God bless 2012.
I would like to let you all know that I have put forward a proposal here at the University for some resources for Falealili College, because children from rural schools will not be allowed to go to town schools anymore. I believe this will have negative effects on our communities in Falealili. We don't have quality resources available for teachers and students. Falealili College was also affected by the tsunami. Hope we can do our part from here or wherever we are. We cannot choose what happens to us, but we can choose how to respond to it. God bless you all!
Faaosofia Siliato-Daly (Great-great grand-daughter of Tuatagaloa Tuisamoa ............... Mataumu of Poutasi, Falealili.

Sorry I have just got back to the ancestry web. Anyway, here is the story of yours and mine. Your grandmother Muliutufaga is my grandfather's only biological sister. Their parents were Mary Allen (daughter of Ben Allen of Tafatafa and Simoumea the son of Tuatagaloa Tuisamoa .... Mataumu of Poutasi). However, when my grandfather was young, his grandfather Benjamin Allen wanted him to live with him in Tafatafa. That is how my grandfather ended up marrying my grandmother who is a Tafatafa girl. However, your grandmother was the matriarch (taupou) of the Tuatagaloa family at the time of Tuatagaloa Simaile (another relation of ours). Hope this gives you a better understanding. Anyway, from what I have found so far, Peter Clausen Fabracius was Allen's nephew and there was another nephew which I can't even pronounce the last name. I assume one was Denish and the other was German. Not sure but the names seem to say that. Anyway, take care and God bless. Alofa atu
