hi, my name is Manase Tuatagaloa, Jr. and I'm the son of the late High Chief Tuataga from the Village of Vailoa tai in Pago Pago American Samo. I know some of the Tuatagaloa families but there are majority of the Tuatagaloa that I don't really know. I know that some how all the Tuatagaloa are related because the name come from Western Samoa. My grandmother is from Savai'i and her name is Ailepata Tuatagaloa. In my whole life I thought that we're the only Tuatagaloa family in this Country but I start doing some research on the internet and I was surprised to see there's alot out there. I would really be happy to hear from you and to talk to you about the family. Contact me through my email "tuatagaloa@comcast.net". Until we talk again next time Tofa Soifua,

Hi Tauileva! Your name is one of the common names in the family. Anyway, don't worry cousin about who was first or who was second because it creates differences and conflicts in our family. We do have a very large extended family and we perhaps need to pray that our family will continue to keep just one Tuatagaloa title amongst our diverse family for many years to come. It does not matter who was first or who was next but what's important is that we all have something in common and that our ancestory is of the great Tuatagaloa whoever he was. We should also remember Tuatagaloa Joe Annandaly in our prayers as he is the head and the pule of our whole aiga at the moment. Hope you can find some answers to your wish and God bless. Love always your distance Tuatagaloa cousin.

Talofa lava Manase! By accident I just thought about Samoa and decided to look up the Tuatagaloa family again tonight and came across these postings on the net. Anyway, I am a great perhaps great grand daughter of Tuatagaloa Mataumu of Poutasi Falealili. Interestingly, your grandmother's name sounds very familiar as was mentioned by my mother who has passed away about 14yrs ago. What a shame such family history may not be captured at all. What you need to do is to do some recordings of your aunties and uncles and try to get any information they have before they pass on. I only have one living aunt at the moment but she lives at Tafatafa but grew up in Poutasi in the Tuatagaloa family. I live in NZ at the moment but hoping to go back to Samoa to do some of the interviews while most of our grandparents and grand aunts are still alive. Yu take care and God bless and hope to keep in touch for many years to come until we all meet up in Samoa one day.

Love always

Dear all

I am also trying to find out a bit more about the Tuatagaloa family/ancestry. Just some questions in case someone ca answer: anyone of you related to Tuatagaloa Uliulileava (born 1800s) or Tuatagaloa Agaiava? Also, I know Tutagaloa Joe Annadale (?) is from Poutasi.....is this different Tuatagloa title that Talolemaagao in Satalo is related to? SOrry I know they sound stupid but I am suppose to be the great, great, great son of Tutagaloa Uliulileava but dont know any relatives in Falealili other than Talolemaagao.
