I have been attempting to research my father's lineage and have been at a standstill for some time. Family legacy is that my G-grandfather, Martin Trzeciak, b: 11/11/1878 in Poland; arriving in the US around the turn of the century with an unnamed brother; separating from this brother in Pittsburgh or Philadelphia, PA and going on a designated route to Dayton, OH; married before 1904 to Anna Bak also born in Poland and we have no history. HELP!!

Surnames: Trzeciak, Bak
I found shipping records for Martin's wife (age 29) and 1/son (age 4) on the Ellis Island's website and records state that wife and 1/son came from Chorziav, Galicia, Austria, in October 1907 via Bremen, Germany to be with husband, Martin, in Dayton, OH. Can anyone help me to advance my research? Martin was already established at this timeframe in OH. I have not been able to acquire any shipping records for Martin, to date. Any help is greatly appreciated. Does anyone know where Chorziav, Galacia, Austria (Poland?) is today and then?

Just want to let everyone know that I have a new email address of bettye.whitley@sbcglobal.net. I'm still trying to connect to that lost brother of my Great Grandfather Martin Trzeciak II (as my Great Grandmother's shipping manifest stated) as well as family here in the U.S. and any connection from Poland or the previous Galacia, Austria area of southern Poland.
