Hello Lisa.

So you too are researching the Surname of Try.

I have been searching the surname of Try since 1997 without any real luck or response.

Geneology services who contact me all want $$$$$$ for there
info of which they cannot asure me will be of any use to my tesearch inquireys, so therefore I decline using there services.

May I ask what informational posting I have submitted on this platform are you referring to, and what connection if any do you have with the surname of Try?

Okay first to get started, it would help to post locations and dates so that your fellow researchers can refer to their notes or memories without having to contact you for more specific information. Here's what I know about the Try Family....There is a connection with that surname and Snyder County, PA - 3 sisters with last name of Try married 3 brothers. This area was settled by those of German heritage who moved over the mountains after the Rev. War. The name Try has also been transposed with Dry and on occasion Fry. Many of the folks from Snyder County migrated to Michigan and in fact the Try Family was represented in that move. Other than knowing the names of the three sisters, I have no other information about the family. If you would like to search further for specific individuals in Snyder County, there are published cemetery listings and some county info available online.

The only lead I can help with is that my Grandfather came over from England in the fifties. I know that there was (an still is) Try families there,
I have never met anyone with my last name who was not direct family
