I tried to contact you through the email, but it didn't work so replying this way.
The quickest thing I could tell you is to go to my tree which is called Trusty/Cooper/Ferry/Storey. There you can find lots of information about Tincher - backwards and forwards. My family does come from Tincher through Lewis Musick Trusty to James William Trusty to George Sylvester Trusty to David Robert Trusty who is my father.

Take a look at the family tree and see if there is anything more I can help you with.

I do have information for William Alvin and American Virginia Huffman and their children, Lewis Musick, William, Arlevy Malissa Caroline and Laura Bell - but you probably have that already.
I also have Lewis Musick Trusty and Malissa Alice Johns’ family: William, Minnie, Laura Drucilla, Rosetta, Gladys, Fannie, Floyd and Opal. Strangely enough, Laura Drucilla Trusty married my grandfather, George Sylvester Trusty in 1951 after he moved back to Missouri after raising his family in Tillamook, Oregon - where I”m from. I think her family tried to talk her out of it.

Then William Trusty and Leona Cornett and their children Sam, Minnie Louis (who I did not know had the middle name of Buel) Dewey and Elfin May? I don’t have any dates or places for these children and so my information ends there with that - your line.

A lot of this is on my family tree - but not all. Let me know if you have any specifics. I’ll see if I can find family group sheets of particular families if you like.

I know this is an old thread but I've just recently been doing research on my family history. I noticed a lot of names here that are familiar with what I have found so far in my search. I have found a lot but seeing Tincher and Joyce on here really got my attention. I'll try to explain the best I can where my part in all this is. There are actually two Lewis M. Trusty's in the family so it gets a little complicated.

Lewis Musick Trusty (1865-1957) is my Great Great Grandfather. Lewis's son William Trusty is my Great Grandfather. William's son Louis Buel Trusty is my Grand father and Louis's daughter Loretta Ruth Trusty is my mother.

Lewis Musick Trusty's parents are William Alvin Trusty (My GGG Grandfather) and America Virginia Huffman. (My GGG Grandmother)

William Alvin Trusty's Parents are Tincher Carroll Trusty & Joyce H. Musick. (Tincher is my GGGG Grandfather)

Lewis Musick Trusty (1824-1895) is my GGG Grandfather's brother to whom I'm sure the second Lewis was named after. The Musick part come from Joyce H. Musick (My GGGG Grandmother)

Her parents are Thomas Roy Musick (1767-1842) and Mary Neville. (1757-1821)

Obituary: TRUSTY, Ruby "Fern" (Croxen)

RUBY "FERN" TRUSTY

Funeral services were held last Wednesday for Ruby "Fern" Trusty, who died March 6 at her home in Taylorsville. Mrs. Trusty was a 48-year resident of Indian Valley, moving here from Sacramento. She was born December 11, 1916 in Roseville. Mrs. Trusty worked for 25 years as a school bus driver before retiring from the Plumas Unified School District.

Surviving are her husband, Leroy, of Taylorsville; a son, Richard, of Oroville; daughters Helen Day Bashaw, of Indiana, and Juanita Underwood, of Modesto; a brother, Kenneth Croxen, of Carmichael; and two sisters, Phyllis Keck and Anita Kelly, both of Sacramento. Mrs. Trusty also left nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services at Taylorsville Community Methodist Church were officiated by Reverend Gary Sears. Burial followed at the Taylorsville District Cemetery. The family request that donations in lieu of flowers be made to the Taylorsville Community Methodist Church.

This may be a different Michael Trusty.

Michael Trusty was my cousin on my father's side. His parents were Leon and Elizabeth (Lib) Trusty from Lyman, SC. Both parents deceased and buried in Lyman.

It was my understanding that he stepped on a land mine just shortly after he arrived in Vietnam. He was buried in Lyman, SC.

His siblings were: Jimmie Kay(deceased), Suzanne, Danny (deceased), Carol.

I don't believe he was ever married or had children.

Hi! Not sure if we've corresponded before - but my ancestors are Joseph Bovinet and Mary Jane Trusty too. (I'm connected to the East St. Louis branch of the family and my tree is posted on Ancestry). The story about Mary Jane being of American Indian descent has floated around the family - my grandmother talked about it. But no one knew anything more. I hadn't heard the adoption story. or the dressing in costume, though. Another relative, Lee Bovinette did a lot of research about 25 years ago. He has passed away, and his son recently shared a family notebook with us. There was a photo of William Jackson and his wife, that I added to Ancestry. Would love the chat!

Your great grandfather, George Henry Trusty was the son of Calvin W. Trusty and Ann Eliza Henry. Calvin W. the youngest son of William "Wiley" Trusty and Margaret "Peggy" Cleary/Clary. William son of William Trusty and Hannah son of William Trusty and Elizabeth Musick son of John Trusty.

Calvin W. was the youngest brother of my great great grandfather, Enoch Taylor Trusty.

Levi Thomas Vanover was Atlanta younger brother brn 14 Mar 1841 most likely Daviess Co KY. He listed himself as born in KY for sure. Married Racheal Davis brn 6 Jan 1848. Marr 10 Jan 1864 Molla, Clackamus Co. OR.
died 28 Mar 1922 Yakama, WA bur Zilla Cemetary Yakama. Father Thomas Henson Vanover abt 1801 possible mother. Death cert says Christina Elson. Other wife of Thomas was Mary M? Dont have more on her. Childern Atlanta, Martha brn abt 1832 in Il,Malinda "Spicy br abt 1836, Caroline brn abt 1842, George brn abt 1846. I found Levi and Caroline living with Francis & Atlanda in 1860 US census in 1860 in Dallas MO.

From 1840 and 1860 census data, I believe his parents to be Thomas G and Polly Trusty. That's as far back as I've gotten though. In 1840, they were in Wilson, TN. And Polly was in the 1860 census in District 1, Dekalb, TN. These parents were also corroborated via a family tree on OneWorldTree online, but I have no hard documents other than the censes to verify. Hope this helps.

I am looking for any information on RB Trusty and Julie Noble who lived in the Breathitt County Kentucky area in the late 1800's and early to mid 1900's. They were the parents of my grandfather Ham Trusty. He said they were married but I cannot find any record of it. I do find several children born to Julie Noble in that area but nothing else as far as census, marriage, or death records. The same for RB Trusty. My grandfather, Ham Trusty, was born April 03, 1934 and married Roxianna Watkins.

Thanks for getting back with me. I don't know alot of my Grandpa Ham's family but I have seen alot of pictures. I have never been to Kentucky which is where most of y'all are. I cant find much of any information of Ham and Doug's parents which are supposed to be Ruben or Ruby and Julie. So anything you can come up with will be great. I too am interested in this family as I'm trying to find out who Ben Trustys parents were. I found Ben and Emily in an 1850 US census living in Williamson Co., Illinois. Next door was an Alcy Trusty (my ancestor) and a Herrington Trusty. Obviously these Trusty families are connected to each other only I cannot figure out how. Any help would be appreciated.

Francis Trusty was married three times; his second marriage there were no children. The third marriage with Craig, they had four children. My line is with the third marriage.

I would like to know the correct dates of birth and death for William Trusty and Anna Robbins, as it doesn't seem possible that William's death could be 1784 and Anna's birth could be the same (1784). Also doies anyone have any more info on Nancy J Trusy. It states she was 27 Nov 1857 in Morgan, Kentucky. My great grandmother is a Nancy Trusty, but I have her birth as Sep 1857 in Salyersville, Magoffin County, Kentucky. In this William Trusty family tree they have Nancy marrying a J.C. Williams 20 Jul 1875 in Magoffin County, Kentucky and a marriage to an UNK Hale (I beleive this to be my great grandfather - John Hale (born 1853-1855 in Perry County, Kentucky)). It shows the birth of two children: Children of NANCY TRUSTY and UNK HALE are: i. LEARAH HALE, b. 1876, Magoffin County, KY.
ii. EDNA HALE, b. 1879, Magoffin County, KY.
I'm not sure these are the children of Nancy J. Trusty and John Hale, as the census record for 1900 in Magoffin County, KY shows children of John Hale and Nancy Trust be have all been born in the 1800's. Any help is greatly appreciated.
