wooo - just found a Truax in my family tree:
Elizabeth Truax, b. 1675, Gravesend, Kings, NY, d. aft. 1714, NJ - married James Stout, b. 1648 Gravesend, Long Island, Kings, NY, D. after 1714, Monmouth NJ. Married 12 Jan. 1671 Monmouth, NJ. Child: Elizabth Stout, b, 1691, Monmouth NJ, D. 1760, Bethelem, Hunterdown, NJ. Does any of this ring a bell with anyone? I can't further back than James Stout and Elizabeth Truax.

This post is quite old so you may have already solved this one, but I thought I might send along an idea. I have Truax in my family tree, but probably not the one you are looking for. However, my Truax was originally DuTrieux-you may want to look along those lines as well. I do have a Lysbeth, but her birthdate was 1692 in Albany NY.

Following up my own post 13 years later, it has been proven that Elizabeth Stout's mother was not a Truax.
