I am looking for information on Treitz. My ancestors seem to start in Canada in 1851 in Ontario (J.B Treitz and Catherine (Finkbeiner) Treitz and their son John.

I am unable to go back any further. It is believed that J.B. was born in Germany, but no verification as yet.

Wonder if he was part of Pennsylvania lines? but they all seemed to be spelled Trites?

Any suggestions/help would be appreciated.
