How is your search going re the Trites family? I am also a descendant - my ggg grandmother, Elizabeth Trites, b. 1811, d. 1851, was the daughter of Abraham Trites and Susanna Steeves, granddaughter of Abraham Trites and Margaret Jones. Elizabeth married my ggg grandfather, Rufus Milledge Brown, b. 1809, d. 1882. Have some info and book names that might be helpful if you're interested.
