I have been doing some work on the Trites family as I had a Judith Trites, sister of Elizabeth Trites (who married Rufus Brown) who was supposed to be the daughter of Abraham Trites. Abraham's (b. 1751) son Abraham, was under 16 at the time of Abraham's will in 1810 so he would be too young to have married and had Judith in 1808 and Elizabeth in 1811. Furthermore, I have a report that he died in 1811. However, evidence suggests that Abraham's brother, Jacob Trites, Jr., had a son Abraham in 1780 who married his cousin Susanna Steeves (d/o Christian Steeves and Rosanna Trites - sister of Jacob and Abraham). Confused yet? I do not have proof of this but please write and I can send you a genealogy report of what I have on the Trites family.
