But, the only thing I came up with was that grandma and Grandpa moved fron NY, to Miami in the 1950's He was a Barber for many years in Coral Gables...everyone called him Mel he has that strong spanish accent. Any info. will be appreciated....i'm new at this. Thankyou

Hello Wendy,
Well, to be perfectly honest with you...I do remember a Carlos...However, there are several Men named Carlos in Miami .. Hialeah. Im gonna ask dad when I talk to him over the weekend if he knows a Carlos Triana. Keep in touch muffy@rose.net
I'll tell you what he says...Carlos Triana sounds too familiar to me .. but, its been several years since I seen all the family. (at least 15 years..and that was at a funeral) and before that....when I was a kid. Did Carlos have several Brothers (Ricardo, Pepito, Melanio..and sisters Belta, Bertha, Baya ? maybe more .. thats the few names I remember.

I know Carlos Triana... or is it?

The Triana's are from the city of Triana in spain. Rodrigo de Triana was the first to come to america since he was the one to see it first while on La Pinta(Colmbuses ship). But there are other trianas and we are all somehow related since it is one of the rarest names in the world. We just dont have a full family tree. if u have any info or want any other info contact me.

My Grandfather Melanio Triana died this part Aug. (aug, 8th)
I am very interested in knowing as far back as I can get. Thankyou
It would only make sence to me that Triana's are related no matter where any live now.

Rodrigo de Triana was on one of the ships of Columbus. He was in the crow's nest and was the first one to spot the land. I guess he said "land! land! Anyway, I have read this in some history books
