As far as I know, my family is the largest Triana genealogy in the states. Triana is Sicilian, but can be dated back to Spain -- from there I have no further information. The first Patriarch from the Triana family immigrated to Mississippi (Salvador Triana and his wife Laboria Triana). They were both born in the late 1800's. Our family has a "family tree" that dates back to the 1400's for the Triana side of our "clan" *smile. Salvador and Laboria had 14 children, 4 died very young. Of the 10 that survived, some settled in Mississippi, some in Chicago, and others in New York. My mother was one of their 10 surviving children, now deceased.
