Hi Mary,

My name is Beth Tracey (great-grandaugher of Daniel). We met in Galway in 1992 (I was with Hughie & Dennis Tracey). I would like to do a family tree as well. How far have you gotten? Is there a website - if not I could do that... Right now I am over Alice Brady's house (Mary Tracey's daugher, grandaughter of Daniel). My dad, Tom Tracey, is also here (Dennis Tracey's son, grandson of Daniel). And Hughie Tracey is on his way! (Hughie Tracey's son and grandson of Daniel).

All of us are going to Galway this November & plan on seeing Margaret. Looking forward to it!!

Hi, I just read this email among my mother's family tree papers. I was astonished to read again just now. The thing is I just got back from Ireland the end of January my mother Mary Keogh (Reilly) her mother was Bridget Treacy. My mom Mary died on January 6th 2010. I got her started in Genealogy when I brought her to Canada and she loved doing it. I got her on a computer and she was pretty good on it. Unfortunately, she lost her battle to Colon cancer in January. I have my own family tree stuff and now I have all the research she was doing.

Did you by any chance meet Margaret Glynn in Galway, when I was over there caring for Mom, margaret told mom and me that there were relatives coming from U.S. to see her. I never heard anymore about it, so I don't know if she did see anyone.

God bless

Dorothy Keogh

Hi Dorothy,

It's Beth Tracey - I am Daniel's great great grand daughter. I believe Daniel was your mother's uncle.

Our names was changed from Treacy to Tracey when my great grandfather came to the U.S.

I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of your mother.

I met your mom and Margaret in Ireland in 1992. I think I was last in Galway about 5 years ago and met Margaret again. I think your mom had already moved to Canada.

I will be in Ireland in October, but not in the Galway area. Going to Killarney, Kinsale & Ennis.

I would love to get back to working on Genealogy. Can you email me at batracey@yahoo.com & we can share info?

I have a census that I can mail to you that I got last time I was in Galway. The year is cut-off on the copy, but it's from when your grandmother Bridget was 5. I also have pictures of myself, Mary & Margaret from 1992 that I can scan & email to you.

Does Margaret's son Alan sill work in NYC? I have an address for him in Queens.

I look forward to hearing from you.

I am the direct descendant of Emmett Augustine ( 1894 -1986)..I have been looking for the information on Richard Tracey and I am glad that I came across it. I could not able to find my grandfather's parents. My grandfather married Agnes Metcalf and had one son which is my father.

Generation 2 shows Richard Tracey marrying Ellen Healey in 1840,and Thomas Tracey marrying Ann Meagher(Mahar) on June 10 1839 at Gore Mission,Peel County, Ontario. Ann was the daughter of Daniel Maher and unknown. Richard and Ellen are showing as having 2 children:Richard(1845) and John(of Alliston). Thomas and Ann are seen to have 4 children: Catherine(1843-1932), Richard(born 1845 in Tecumseth, died 1913 in Ardoch,Walsh Co. North Dakota USA),Ann(1849-1941,buried in Alliston)and Mary Treacy.

I have been trying to locate the name Healy but I only found Barry

I found some discrepancies between Richard TRACEY who was born in or about 1777 married to Bridget ( surname is unknown at the moment ) They were married according to the records in 1810 in Tipperary Ireland. They had a daughter named Catherine Tracey and or a son James Treacy.. Catherine was born in 1805 ??? .. The name 'Healey ' I cannot find the connection except for Ellen Barry who was married to William Tracey who was born in 1806 ?

I am granddaughter of Emmett ( Ed) Augustine Tracey.
