Their was a Maria Treacle (Trickle ?) married to a Jacob B. Smith. She died in 1867 and is buried in Galva, Illinois. She was married before to a man named________ Murphy and he died leaving her with three daughters. Their names were Julia Ann (White), Eliza Jane (Pratts) and Mary Ann Abey). Maria's children with Jacob Smith were: Alzina, who married George W. Winchester. Wilson, who married Margaret_________, Washington Trickle or Treacle, who married Martha Lawrence and Oliver Jacob, who married Trinvilla or Travilla Bonham. I don't know if this helps or not. The names were too coincidental that I thought it could help you and me both. Let me know.

Re: Treacle? Treekel? Treackle? Treakle?
Wildcard to your request: I have some family information passed down through the years about a C. C. Tangles of Ware, Gloucester, Virginia circa 1748 md to a Mary with the following children: Jane, Elizabeth, Mary or Polly, James, Sally, Lucy, William, and Cora -- est. birthdates from 1773 to 1790 in 2-3 year intervals. Apparently the family moved to Warren County, NC as that is where Eliz md Thos. Clack. Maybe not your specific people, but perhaps related.
