The village Peter came from could be "Trojevrh", village between Jospidol and Plaski in Croatia. Also, the original spelling of the last name is probably "Trbojevic"

Dear Pete (Sonny) Trbovich,
I am your aunt, Dora--the sister of your mother, Marie Trbovich. I have managed through the wonder tools of computers to locate Margaret and Tony Dalise and Doretta Kirk, which are all your siblings. Your father passed away about two years ago and I was in touch with your mother for a short time. She went to Iowa trying to find you. She has no idea that I know where her other children are and I would never reveal that information to her. She is as crazy as ever and I know Maggie, Tony or Dottie have no desire to get in touch with her. I thought perhaps, that you might want to get in touch with your brother and sisters. You can contact me via e-mail @ dkrachey@yahoo.ocm

There are many Trbovichs in Serbia. I visited Serbia this year and spent May 6th, the Trbovic Saints Day, with family in Zemun. I also visited family in Trbovici again this year. The village has suffered under Croatia but my family is still there.

No - these are two different families and two completely different (albeit similar) surnames.

TRBOVIĆ - closest transcription from the Old Church Slavonic language of the original spelling of this surname would be TERBOVIČ

TRBOJEVIĆ - totally different surname, and the transcription of the old spelling would be TERBUHILOVIČ

Possible common earlier origin of these two families predates their settling to the Gomirje district in 1600 when they were noted down as two separate families in relation to the founding of the Gomirje Monastery.
