I have just found this board and was interested to read that several of the Traylen's mentioned are (I think) connected with mine.

My Great, Great, Great Grandmother was Elizabeth Taylor Traylen born in Thurlow in Suffolk but the family was from Toppesfield in Essex.

I would be interested in comparing/swapping information with anyone who has an interest in this surname
