We are researching the Traugott line that came over from Germany and settled in Texas. My understanding is when my GG Grandfather, Joseph Traugott came over with his brother, one brother settled in the NY area and my GG Grandfather Joseph went south onto Texas. What I do have is as follows:

Joseph Traugott DOB abt. 1839 in Wurtemberg married to Caroline DOB abt 1844 in Prussia.
Joseph and Caroline had about 8 children. six that I know of are. Ida, abt 1864, Otto abt 1867, Sabine abt 1869, Tilly about 1883, Charley abt 1885 and John abt 1888. And I suspect that they had a son Joseph born 31 Oct 1870-15 Jan 1953 (who is my G Grandfather)
My G Grandfather, Joseph Traugott married Gertrude Danielson DOB 26 July abt 1874 from Sweden. Joseph and Gertrude had the following children that I'm aware of. Florence Margaret DOB 24 Oct 1893 in Austin Tx. and Joseph Daniel DOB 15 Jan 1901 in Austin, Tx. ( this is my Grandfather), Another son Edwin William DOB 11 July 1907 in Hot Springs, Ark. So they moved from Texas sometime between 1901-1907.
My Grandfather, Joseph Daniel married Reba Gertrude Mitchell from Hot Springs,Ark I believe. They had four children, Betty, Elizabeth, Pauline and my Father, Joseph Daniel DOB. 30, June 1935.
My goal is to locate the Traugott's back before they immigrated from Germany around abt 1854. Any information would be greatly treasured.
