Hi All,

In my neverending quest for finding ancestors and ancestor links, I recently stumbled onto a couple of TRACE's in Crawford Co., Pa. that I am unable to link at this time.

1) Logan TRACE M W 46(1850 Census)(Farmer)
Nancy " F W 40(wife)
Rhoda " F W 19(daug.)
Roswell " M W 17(son)
John " M W 15(son)
Rebecca " F W 13(daug.)
Eliza(beth?) F W 11(daug.)
Henry " M W 4(son)

Nancy is in 1860 as widowed farmer
Arilla F W 9(daug.)
Juliann F W 5(daug.)
are listed as new children of this couple even though Logan is deceased(no irreverance intended!) All born in Pa.

I Also found a Mary Trace 52 farming
with a Samuel Trace 25 Asistant
and a Marg Trace 20

The record doesn't say if Sanuel and Mrg are son and daug.

Any help would be greatly apreciated!

Sincerely,
Doug

Hi. I am a descendent of the Trace/Foust/Brown/Braun connection in Berks and Crawford counties PA. I am trying to find information about Benjamin Brown (1801 according to Evergreen Cemetery, Summit Twp) married to Elizabeth Trace (1811 same source). Other sources mention birth dates of 1806 and 1816 respectively. At any rate, Elizabeth or Betsy was the daughter of Jacob Trace and Catherine Foust. I cannot tie him to the family of Frederick Braun born 1739 in Germany who came with his father, Johann and brother,( at least) Engel or Engle in 1753 to PA. Any help for more information on these families would be appreciated. My third great grandmother was Catherine Trace married to Peter Brown (Braun). Thanks. My direct email is omasue@hotmail.com
