Dear Friends,
I am the webmaster of the Mariposa History Website at http://www.crosswinds.net/~genehunter/index.htm
and welcome all TRABUCCO researchers to visit this site. I have a ongoing transcription project going on of all of the vitals from the Mariposa Gazette and much can be found on the TRABUCCO family on it.
Always free and welcoming interested researchers to contact me.

Aloha,
William Disbro

I am looking for information on Joe Trabucco that married Essie Violet Williams. They lived in Bear Valley and Joe was a rancher there. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Hello Mr. Disbro, I was sent an email from a cousin I found through genealogy. It is the family tree of STERLING ASHWORTH born Abt. 1775 in Virginia. He married ELIZABETH BETSY TOMBLIN 30 Dec 1802 in Pittsylvania, Virginia1.I believe I am a decendant of ELIZABETH BETSY TOMBLINs brother Lacy Tomlin. I was sent years ago a family tree produced by my grandfathers cousin who is now deceased. In that tree a widow named Celia TOMBERLIN arrived in Industry Township Illinois in 1826-1827 there was no mention of her husbands first name, but her eldest son named his first son Lacey Tomberlin, so I started a search for an older Lacey Tomberlin. I found a Lacy Tomberlin who was a deserter in the war of 1812, from the Tennessee Militia. There is a book on this desertion called (1814 Court Martial Of Tennessee Militiamen) in it Lacy Tomberlin is listed on a payroll muster, but not in the trial proceedings. The Widow's two sons are listed as being born in Virginia,1809 and 1811 and her daughter was born in Tennessee 1814. I searched for a Lacy Tomberlin in Virginia and found a marriage of Lacy Tomlin and Selah Davis in Pittsylvania Virginia, in 1807. I found a man on the message boards (lost his name Bud something)he sent me some copie's of the widows eldest son (JamesB Tomberlin's) family bible. In this bible it says Lacy and Celia Tomberlin were the parents of James B, Fountain C, and Priscilla W. Tomberlin, it also says Lacy died in Oct 1814. The Lacy Tomberlin in the book about desertion, deserted in Sept 1814, the trials were held on Dec 1814, and I don't have her birthdate handy at this time but I checked and Priscilla was born before Lacy enlisted. The reason there is a book on this is because over 200 men deserted 6 were hung and people tryed to use it against Andrew Jackson when he ran for President. I am very sorry this post is so long and has nothing to do with the subject but I have tryed everything I can to find further info on Lacy and Celia(Selah) and this is as close as I have come. My GGG Grandfather was Lacy's second son (Fountain Tomberlin) in the Ashworth Tree there is a Fountain Ashworth, Son of William Ashworth, who was the son of Betsy Tomblin Ashworth. Fountain Tomberlin (my GGG Grandfather was quoted as saying he got his name from his grandparents if Betsy is Lacy's sister they would have the same name in thast family, and she was married in Pittsylvania the same as Lacy and SELAH. After all this my question is do you have any info on Betsy's family. Thank you very much for any info and your time. Thank you very much Tom Tomberlin

I know that the patterson and tomblin, tomberlin, tomerlin,
keeter, lewis, hensley, dillard, often lived in the same area
and used the same names often.saphriona is also used often
look for dillard in chattahoochee co. ga. hope this helps in some way.
