To Brain Tozer - message#39 my fathers family are from Plymouth in Devon, England.
I have only just started in tracing the family back. My father has given me as much as he could remember! My father was David George Tozer, his father was George alexander Tozer, his father was Alexander Tozer, his father was Thomas Tozer born 1838 and died 1922. My father told me that some of the family emigrated to U.S, Austrailia, Canada and N.Z. I would be grateful for any more info that MAY connect the families.

I am looking for information on my grandfather, born 1861, died 1898 in Calgary, Alberta. His fathers name was George Tozer, I don't have the middle name. Grampa was born in London or Birmingham, England and came to Canada in 1863 when his mother died. Settled in Ottawa where he worked as a shoemaker until 1880 when he joined the Mounties. Anyone have any information on the England cousins or perhaps George Sr. had a family member in Ottawa. All information will be appreciated you can email me at loriclenney@hotmail.com

Hi Brian,
Found you whilst having my 1st look at Ancestory.com.
I have found many Tozers upon my G/MA`s side. She Jessie was born Grimsby 1884 along with many sisters / plus a brother Len, of whom I have found nothing upon.
1891 Census upon my Grimsby Tozers does not list a Len, so maybe he was born later on ???

Could you belong to this Len Tozer ???

Hi Lorraine,
I just read your message regarding George Henry Tozer. George Henry was my gg grandfather. I do not have much more information than you but I do have some documentation. I have acquired George's RCMP file, a registration of death and a death certificate. I do know that George Henry married Isabelle Guardipee (or Gariepy), a woman of Indian descent and had several children of which I descend. I would appreciate any information which you might have. Are you, by chance related to Wendy in Calgary? Email me at therose@shaw.ca
Thanks Lorraine.
Lynda

I have a Thomas Tozer b. 1836 in my tree. I don't have any info on him other than his parents were Henry and Catherine Woolcock. Could this be your Thomas?
