I have only just started this family search and have only a little information. My father was Richard Toyne, born December 1899 (in Yorkshire?. He had at least two brothers, one called Walter, and his father's name was Dionysius also born in Yorkshire.
If anyone can add to this I would be most grateful
Thanks DT

I don't know if this will just complicate the search for the Toyne family geneology in the UK. My father Benjamin Raymond Toyne was born in Water East Yorkshire in 1937 the son of Benjamin and Gladys Toyne. I know that they were related to a family called Jobson also from the same village. Hope this helps, Dillon

I know that it is a few years since you posted you message., but I have a Mary Rebecca Toyne born Tattersall daughter of Samuel. Mary had a broher Samuel who came to Oulton,Mary came to Oulton and married William Whitehead. There were a few Dionysius in Mary's family.
Could this be your ancestry.

Hi Anita - another grand hiatus between messages!! 2000, then 2008 now 2010!!
I'm still very interested in getting as much information as possible about the Toynes and I've started a FaceBook Page called 'The Toyne Clan' which you can join if you'd like to see my family roots (as far as I've got) on the my Toyne Family Tree Link - also accessible via "http://www.myheritage.com/site-117266201/toyne"

On the other hand , if you have any further information on Toyne or Fleetwood, (my mother's maiden name) I'd be most grateful.
All the very best
David
