Toynbees in British Columbia

In British Columbia, Canada, so far as I know all the Toynbees
are members of two distantly related Toynbee families from England:

the family of Thomas Chapman Toynbee and Sarah Sharpe, whose
four sons born 1877 through 1889 came to Canada 1896 - 1908.
The youngest of them, Richard, married into the Mouat family
of Ganges, Saltspring Island.

the family of Lionel Claude Toynbee and Dina Maria Herderschee,
who married while Claude was recovering in England from his
WWI battle wounds and came to Vancouver because the Canadian
Army was sending Claude back here, 100% disabled. Claude had
been a merchant seaman, he was in the Pacific when England
went to war and joined up when he made port in Vancouver.
Claude and Dina Maria had five children.

Dear Claire
In the meantime since we last corresponded my old company laptop computer broke down and none of the data of files could be rescued.
Could you send me once again the photos of the Herderschee reunion showing Philip, sisters and all the others?
By the way I think I have found a very poor quality photo of Claude (in uniform) with Dina Maria. Maybe you already have it yourself.

I have since learned that the Scottish Toynbees are also represented! Their relationship to the Saltspring Toynbees is documented, including their Lincolnshire connection.

Now we need Y-DNA tests t FamilyTreeDNA to help suggest where to look for any connection to the Vancouver Toynbees.
