Found D. Naumann's message on Toy Message Board. Mary Doolin Toy may be sister to Jordan Doolin b. 1808 KY. Both were married in Jefferson County, MO. Do you have any information on other possible siblings?

Yes, Jordan lived in the House Springs area. Let me quote from the family history I am compiling. "The earliest record found of Jordan Doolin is in a list of items sold from the estate of David Hildebrand on 14 February 1834 in Jefferson County, MO. "Jourden Dulin" bought one rifle for $5.25. Another doument in the David Hildebrand probate file indicates the estate paid J. W. Doolin 70 1/2 cents based on a voucher which must hve been presented after David Hildebrand died.
When David Hildebrand's wife, Hannah, died in 1848, William Toy purchased items at the estate sale. William Toy also purchased apple tree seedlings at the estate sale of Abraham Hildebrand in Jefferson County, MO on February 24, 1837. J. W. Dulan was at the same sale and purchased a bull for $11.00 and a colt for $31.50."
When Jordan's first wife, Eliza Chandler died, he moved to Dallas County, MO and married Hannah Hildebrand, daughter of Francis Hildebrand (granddaughter of David and Hannah mentioned above).
David Hildebrand died at his farm near House Springs. In 1837 Jordan Doolin purchased 41 acres in the SW quarter of Section 3, Township 42, Range 4. House Springs in the NW quarter of this same section.

Do you know the Father/Mother of this William? Could it be Joseph Toy? Do you know if he had an older brother James? My James (son of Joseph) moved to KY Married and then moved to Jefferson Co. MO.
