I have found that my 5th great grandfather, Robert Town was born in 1754 in Sutton, Worcester, MA and died in 1820 in Winfield, Herkimer, NY. He married Elizabeth Hawes in New Braintree in 1782. Their daughter, Elizabeth "Betsey" married Elisha Gates. I am trying to determine where they married. Elisha's eight older siblings were born in Preston, New London, CT but Elisha and his two younger brother's were not. I am hoping if I can find where Elisha married Betsey Town I might know where he was born. Has anyone seen anything during their search on Elizabeth "Betsey" Town born 30 Apr 1783 in Mass and died 1863 in NY who marries Gates? Ideally I would love to find the marriage record, in hopes it would give me my missing information.
