Seeking any and all information regarding Mehitabel Towel, who was probably born around 1706 and died 1776.

Married Thomas Brown (year ???)

They had at least one child by the name of Thomas Brown who later married a Sarah Chase.

Thomas Brown and Sarah Chase had at least one son named Jeremiah, who fought in the Revolutionary War.

She was born in Hampton, NH, which was where Philip Towle, the immigrant, was born. If you have access to Dow's History of Hampton, NH, there is information about the Towles in in. The Lane Library, Hampton, NH has Dow's genealogies on line. Access it through the Rockingham Co. NH Genweb page.

Cindy, I have a question. I'm a bit confused by your posting about Mehitable. You state that she was born in New Hampshire, the same place that Phillip was born. Then you refer to him as an immigrant. How could he have immigrated to a country he was born in? My understanding is that he was an immigrant born in the British Isles.
I am descended from his youngest child, Caleb.

I have that she married Thomas Brown on May 2, 1729. Try and find William Haslet Jones book on the Towles. You can get it on CD from Heritage Books, Inc. and it does a pretty good job on the Towles of NH.

forgot to include the most important info in my e-mail to you.

If Jeramiah Towle served in the Rev. War, there is a good possability his lineage in registered with the D.A.R. Search for their website online. You will have to go thru "Ancestry.com (The Morman Churach website OR you can go to a Morman Church and request the info. There will be a fee involved. But not much.
