I have been searching the Totten family line and have of course run across variants. I noticed that someone wrote the name Tootan on oneof the threads. My son was in Tottenham, UK last year and came upon a marker for a John Totyn. I wonder if that is the origin of the name. If you have any links to the Totten or Totyn name in your line...let me know. Thanks. gatotten@seidata.com Gary Totten, 1963 South 825 West, Columbus, IN 47201 812.342.1846

Hi,

My mother is a Toten. If you're interested in knowing about William Edward Toten 1879-1969 and forward, let me know.

Beth,

I'm a 1st cousin, twice removed, of William Edward Toten, b. September 22, 1880, AL, d. March 28, 1969, MS. My clan of Toten(s) moved farther west to Nararro Co., TX. I would be happy to share information.

Beth...I'll take anything. I am lost with my GGF, George Toten born abt 1825-1840,- husband of Adelia Henry. I am so frustrated that I am compiling ALL Totten, Toten, etc into one large file, hoping that brute force will work.
