He was 74 when he died Friday, 12 Mar 2004 at his home in Austin,TX.
He was the only son of Elmer and Thelma Tosch and was born 25 Apr 1929 in Wauwatosa, WI. He served in the US Air Force for four years with the 5th Communication Squadron with active duty in Okinawa, Japan and Korea. He attended the Northrop Institute of Technology in Inglewood CA where he earned his Bachelors degree in Aeronautical Engineering, graduating with highest honors. He worked for Ryan and Lockheed Missles and Space in Sunnyvale, CA.
He met Brigitte Fidelak Adams in Longview, TX while doing wind tunnell testing for Lockheed there. She and her two children, Sherry Lynn and Billy Wayne relocated to CA where they wer married 29 Jan 1966. Their son Ronald Lee Tosch was born 12 Mar 1968.
In 1983, the family relocated to Austin, TX where he was program manager on Lockheed's Remotely Piloted Vehicle (RPV) program
He held a private pilot license and flew his Cessna until an engine failure and crash in 1969.
He started CONTACT crisis hotline in CA and then did the same in Austin, TX; worked with the Travis County Sheriff's Department Victim's Assistance Program, St. David's Hospital, Meals on Wheels, South Austin Hospital and the Austin police Department's Abandoned Vehicle Department.
Predeceased by daughter, Sherry Lynn Liebster in 1989.
Survived by wife Brigitte; son Billy;son Ronald and his daughter in law Carmilla and their son Alex.
He was cremated and inurned in Capital Parks in Pflugerville,TX.
