DIED
On the 23d inst. at the residence of John Codley, esq Harrison, Ind, of bilious fever, Col SIMPSON TORBERT, from New Hope, Pennsylvania, resident Engineer of the White Wate Canal. He left a wife and young child to deplore his early departure from this world of trouble.
