Lilla Cartwright was the daughter of Mary Augusta Winters of Sag Harbor and Thomas G. Cartwright of Shelter Island, both Suffolk Co. NY. William Wallace Tooker was a pharmacist in Sag Harbor and wrote extensively on Indian names. Lilla had brother, Clayton Tooker. Mary Augusta Winters worked a sampler which hangs in the John Jermain Library, Sag Harbor.
