While at the library copying obits for someone, I managed to get a copy of a death notice for James Toohey. I thought I would post if, hoping it would be helpful to someone.

James Toohey
The funeral of James Toohey, a well-known resident of this city and the unfortunate victim of an automobile accident in Lakeview avenue last Thursday evening, took place this morning at 8:30 o'clock from the home of his sister, Mrs. Thomas Allen, 125 Fulton street. At St. Michael's church at 9 o'clock a funeral high mass was celebrated by Rev. Patrick J. Dawson. The choir, under the direction of Miss Margaret Griffin, sang Terry's mass. The solos were sung by Miss Griffin and Mrs. Joseph H. Maguire. At the offertory "Misereremini Mei" was sung in duet by Miss Griffin and Mrs. Maguire, and after the elevation, Mrs. Maguire sang "Pie Jesu." Mrs. Ella Reilly Toye was the organist. Present at the mass were many friends. There were numerous floral offerings. The bearers were Thomas Farrell, James Fitzgerald, Martin Joyce, Michael Roddy, James Watterson and Joseph Toohey. The burial took place in the family lot in St. Patrick's cemetery, where the committal prayers were read at the grave by Rev. Fr. Dawson. The arrangements were in charge of Funeral Directors James W. McKenna Sons.
