I have a Joseph Trolan born in Ireland circa 1791 - he married a Mary (Maiden Name unknown) before moving to Wales then England. His children went on to spell the surname as Troulan, Trowland, Troulin, etc.
Any information would be much appreciated

I have a Michael Lagan whomarried Rose Kelly in 1854, Derry. Looks like they are from Maghera. Daughter Mary was born in 1866, Draperstown. My GGrandfather was their son James, born abt 1862. They also had a daughter Cath in abt 1864. Went to Phila. aboard the City of Montreal in 1873. I would love to connect with someone on this branch of the family. I have no information on Michael's parents.

This is very interesting. Do you think any of those Trollans in the area would have a family tree lying around? I appear to descend from the Trollans of that area via a marriage between a Jane Trollan and a David Duggan. I have made some tentative efforts to explore the subject on my webpage: http://users.skynet.be/lancaster/Evelyn%20Ross.htmlLet me know what you think? Best Regards Andrew

I only saw this post after I have been into PRONI to day and looked at Kilrea RC Micro reel, Lots of this families marriage, and Baptisms on here, and may even be associated with my Trainor's/Traynor's..............PRONI reference MIC/ID/58 & 59. Entries that I noted in my own research that might be relevant . 1879 m of Patk Trolland to Biddy Traynor, 1876 b Ellen of Patrick Traynor and Peggy Trolland, 1866 b of Patk Trainor of Patk Traynor and Peggy Trowland, sponsors are James and Mary Trowland......We can add the names Crilly, O'Neill, Gribben/Gribbon and McKenna to the associated families list :-)
