Joseph Edward Tokar, 57, of Greensburg, formerly of Monroeville,son to Jean I. Tokar and the late J. Elmer Tokar.
Joseph E. Tokar Greensburg Formerly of Monroeville Joseph Edward Tokar, 57, of Greensburg, formerly of Monroeville, was joined with his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, May 3, 2011. Joe was an affectionate and loving husband to Ann M. (Garrity) Tokar. Born March 8, 1954, he was a faithful son to Jean I. Tokar and the late J. Elmer Tokar. Joe was a devoted father to his three daughters, Cammie Becker and her husband Guy, Laurel Tokar, and Devon Snyder and her husband Caleb; cherished grandfather of Blaise Becker, Alex and Alison Snyder; and fond brother of Dr. Joyce L. Tokar. Joe was an electrician at TP Electric, and a member of the IBEW No. 5. In addition, he was a member of Harrold Zion Lutheran Church, a lifetime member of Fort Allen Volunteer Fire Department and a veteran of the Navy. While his daughters were young, Joe enjoyed coaching with Hempfield Recreation, Greensburg Central Catholic High School softball, and participating with the Westmoreland County Girl Scouts organization. In celebration of Joe's life, a service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 14, in Harrold Zion Lutheran Church, 671 Baltzer-Meyer Pike, Greensburg, with the Rev. John Smaligo officiating.
