Hi Alun,

I will pass this info on to my cousin who is doing all the research for the Toghill side of our family. I guess we are distantly related somewhere along the line ? lol

Best wishes.

Marcia

Hi Marcia, Sorry to be so long in replying to your message. It has been a hectic time but that is not a good enough excuse.
Our Family line is from Moses Toghill and Mary Cryer who lived in a small hamlet on the outskirts of Bath. His son Joseph Toghill married Harriet Anstee and worked as a cobbler/ shoemaker in Doynton and then Marshfield before coming to South Wales to carry on his trade with the expanding mining and industrial developments. His son Edgar, my grandfather worked in local coal mine until ill health from injuries in WW1 made him semi invalid. We have continued to live in Taffs Well and have been researching our ancestry for a few years with some surprising results.
We have managed to work our way back wityh the help of other researchers and a lot of digging to go back as far as 1600.
It would be interesting to identify where your branch of the family fits in and will be pleased to share any information with you.
We have located and placed over 2000 Toghill's spread across the world.
Please get in touch through ancestry or direct to alun_toghill@yahoo.com

Hi Danielle, how are your researches progressing. I cannot remember if I posted something to your original query but would love to get in touch if I can be of any help. I will relook at James and Mary but more information if you have any would be helpful.
