I'm looking for any information on or before Otto Behn from Holstien Germany. He settled in Pescadero Calif. in the later 1800's. Married Annie ? also from Holstien, fathered four children Annie, George, Henry, Emma, and Christine. Henry or George fathered Clarence, Clarence fathered Chester, and Chester fathered Daniel. Please help. I have pictures of the family in late 1800's. Thank you.

Were they in California the whole time? I just browsed the 1930 census for CA for BEHN and found only the following who list Germany as their homeland: William 73, Frederick 53, Emil 56, Albert 39. Did they move to another state, or do you have any dates? I would be happy to browse the census for you and see if I can find your familys. Let me know.

Dear Mr. Behn:
I have been trying to find out more about my Great Great Grandmother"Emma Behn" it may have been Ann Elizabeth Emma Behn, family from Hamburg, Germany. She married Francis Adam Cushing who was in San Francisco but originally from South Weymouth, Mass. Does this sound at all familiar to any of the info you have? I believe that she was born in 1866. They also lived in South San Francisco.I have no other info on the Behn side of the family except a picture of her father in front of a tile wall smoking a very long pipe it looks very European. If you can shed any light on this ancestor please email me. Thank You, Merrie Cushing Havens
