Having an uncommon spelling for a name, such as Toebe and in WI I wonder if there is a connection? I am just starting to work on this side, don't have much info.

I have alot more info on the Wisconsin TOEBE family. First of all Caroline TOEBE was the Daughter of Daniel TOEBE & Dorothea OHM. Daniel and Dorothea TOEBE had 9 children together. I only know of 3 of them. There was Caroline Dorothea TOEBE (b. 6 Aug. 1821, d. 11 Sept. 1892); Julius TOEBE (b. ? , d. ? ); & William TOEBE (b. 9 Apr. 1838, d. 25 Jun. 1921). So far I have a very large list of descendents of Caroline TOEBE, just a marriage for Julius TOEBE, and alot for William TOEBE. Let me know who you are looking for and I can look them up.

Hi Justin,

I replied the other day to your message but I just looked and don't see it?! The Toebe I am looking for was Fredrick Joh Toebe b. Unknown (was told to look at Alt-Bork, Kolberg, Germany as place of birth.) died in Watertown, WI , (the date I was given I know is not correct because his son was born after this.) Married Alvine Lisette Kruggel dates unknown. One son Otto b.January 25, 1894 d.August 21, 1971.

My mother doesn't remember there being any Toebe relatives she knew of. I'd be so very happy to find a connection. I had seen the original citizen paper but cannot find where I wrote the date.

Your Caroline?

Yes. I believe it is from the obituary of Caroline Dorothea BUSCH (nee, TOEBE). She is my GGGG Grandmother. Are you related to this line of the TOEBE family?

Surnames: Toebe connection?
Justin,

Im not sure if you have seen this:
http://wc.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi

Though I don't know where Caroline would fit in I am sure she must, " Daniel Toebe who came from Germany in 1857
and settled in Watertown for 6 years." - from the contact who submitted Daniels info. Daniel who is Carolines father settled in Watertown, my Toebe, Fredrich was in Watertown and immigrated at the same time and spent his life there. I don't know much about Fredrich except who he married and his child. I have seen the citizen paper but lost the info in a hard-drive crash. My goal is to get the info again. I think my TOEBE could either be an older child of this Daniel or a brother of his . Once I get some exact dates I should beable to narrow it down a bit, and get his death certificate info. I will stay in touch, I feel with the dates and the area there has to be a connection.

Hi, Justin and Crystal: I am a Toebe. I have never researched family, but have some information from other family members. My father was John Toebe, born in Rio Creek, WI. He moved as a child with his parents to Chippewa Falls, WI area. His mother was Minnie Buske. His father was Gustav Toebe. The research records that I have show William Toebe and Henrietta Zamzon as his parents. They were buried in Rankin, WI and born in Germany. Joanne Toebe Wood

Hi there cousin!
The parents of William TOEBE are Daniel TOEBE (b. 12/31/1796 in Prussia, d. 9/26/1879 in WI.) and Dorothea OHM (b. 8/8/1798 in Prussia, d. 6/16/1863 in WI.).

I have researched as far down the TOEBE family as Gustave F. G. TOEBE and Whilhelmine H. E. BUSKEY. It's nice to meet another relative.

I would love to correspond with you. Please email me at justin.a.behn@csun.edu. It would be great to exchange info.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
