Todd families in Ireland: untapped resources

Todd families in Ireland: untapped resources

There are so many resources for the study of the Todd family in Ireland that noone has had the patience and persistence to research.

The deeds of Ireland are one of those sources for which we have made a listing of the Todd entries in the grantor indexes and abstracted many of the 1700s deeds for Todds but never completed this work. We have researchers available in Salt Lake City to continue the work if someone would oversee it and contribute to the costs.

Another source are the entries that are now indexed online in the Public Record Office of Northern Ireland (PRONI). There are many records that have simply never been copied and abstracted. For this, we would need to find a reasonably priced researcher in Belfast to help us since the costs of getting them by writing to PRONI seem very high.

I am not planning on continuing to research the Todds but I wanted to leave this message to those who will follow and who might not be aware of these excellent resources.

I certainly would contribute... Solomon Todd is my 6th great grandfather and i haven't found much on him but i am still new to this type of research.
