My father was Americo Tocci. Everyone called him Frank. We lived in Pleasantville NY. He is now deceased. I was told we were related to Tocci's in trhe Brighton/Leominister Ma area.
He had a sister in Brighton Ma, Florence who married a Dan Rufo. They had two daughters Phyliss & Lorraine. Florence, Dan & Phyliss are also deceased.

I just saw your message asking about your father Americo (Frank) Tocci. I spoke to my mother who doesn't remember him but does remember your sister and Dan Rufo who lived on LaRose Place in Brighton. As you know we are all from San Donato Val di Comino, Provincia Frasinone. There are 3 Tocci families in San Donato. My family is know as Miccalette and my mother wasn't sure if your father is a Miccalette, but in that you said he also lived in Leominster where I have cousins, he may be. There is another Tocci family in Brighton from San Donato that is called Brasecone (not sure of spelling). The last family of Tocci's has a family name that begins with F that has justat this moment escaped me.

Hi Frank,
You mention that there are 3 nicknames for Tocci families. I had never been told this before. My Tocci line settled in Watertown, although some moved to Newton, Leominster and Brighton. Would you happen to know anything about this Tocci line? My Grandfather was Cladinoro (Clarence) Tocci, born in Brighton. My GGrandparents were Carmine and Lucia (Salvucci) Tocci - after immigrating they lived in Boston, Brighton and Watertown. Many of Carmine's siblings and other relatives lived in Newton and Leominster. My GGGrandfather was Luigi Tocci, who married Maria Rufo. I don't know if she was related to Dan Rufo. Were the nicknames related to where they were from? Or was there another reason for them? Thanks for any info you can give. Linda

I am a relative of Joe Rufo from LaRose Place in Brighton, I know he also had a house down the cape I believe it was on George St. Hyannis. He passed away I think in 1986? The last time I saw him I was 13 years old. I know he had a daughter Josephine and a son Joseph, Who I believ to be around 80 years old. I am 47 now and still think of him from time to time even though he passed many years ago, but was just curious how he passed away, and any info that someone may have about him. Thank you

Yes, I know Joe he was my first cousin. How are you related to him? Joe's parents, if we're talking about the same person were Dan & Florence (Tocci) Rufo. Florence was my father Americo (Frank)Tocci's sister. Joe had two sisters Phyliss (deceased) & Lorraine. Phyliss never married.
Yes, he passed around '86. While he was my first cousin, I didn't really know him. I only recall his sisters, because when we visited he was never around. I talk to Lorraine a few times each year.If we're referring to the same Joe Rufo, his kids couldn't be more than in their late 60's as Lorraine must be in her mid 70's.
