Searching for info about Rebecca Tobias who was born in Ohio (?) in abt 1842.
She married Silas M Bennett who was born abt 1836 in OH. (No marriage date) Silas "worked for the rail road" in IL. 1880
I'd like to know who Silas M Bennett's father was.
Rebecca's parents, Sarah Tobias (married surname) and ? Tobias were from PA.
Silas M Bennett's parents were from PA as well.
Would like to find out about the Tobias surname and the Bennett surname in PA as well as in OH. Also would like to know who Silas M Bennett's parents were.
Family lore has it that Rebecca Tobias came from a family of watch and clock makers and that she was Jewish.
