My ggf John Toale was a seaman working in the boiler room on both the Empress of Ireland and the Lusitania. Family lore says he was also on the Titanic, but we can't find him on the list. I am looking for information on him. Thanks!

I stumbled upon your post, and i was also looking for the same information. But from the information I was informed was that John Toale was not on the Titanic, and went down with the Lusitania

Have a general Toale question. Do you have a location in Ireland for any Toale family? Working on a link to one of my direct lines and can not find a reasonable link between the families yet it exists. Just wondering. Lou Gage

Dundalk, Louth County Ireland. I made a connection there; there are many Toale relatives still there. There is a Toale's Pub, but not sure whether it is still part of the family.

I read that some of the workers who signed up for the voyage did not make the call. Workers on stand-by were used to replace them and might not have been on the official registry. could have also signed on with another name;for example (John O'Toole) Which was not on the list. Gary C.
