I was born in Dabrowa Bialostocka and we may be related via the Karpienia family. I don't have the data here but I know someone who does. He wanted to get in touch with you, but for some reason couldn't and asked me to help.

Hello Tom,

It was very nice to get your email. My husband's great grandfather was Wincenty Tkaczuk. He was married to Rosalia Karpienia and they lived in the village of Osmolowszczyzna, close to Dabrowa. We do not know anything about Rosalia's side. My husband's maternal family(Lazarski) came from Nowa Wies, also close to Dabrowa.

I would really like to know what information you have. Please contact me at:

Kind regards

Hello Darlene --

Good to meet you! I am not the geneologist who could trace this back, but my cousin Daniel Bucko is. He is the one who has been trying to get in touch with you. I'll give him your e-mail and he will write you directly.

Best.

Hi Catherine,

It is WONDERFUL to hear from you. Yes, you are a relative. I was only aware of 3 of Helen's children.....James, Beverly & Patricia. You are related to my husband through Amelia Tkaczuk. I have to go to the dentist right now but I will email you direct when I get home this afternoon.

Till later ~ Darlene

Hi Darlene
I am very excited to hear from you. I thought my grandmother's story was lost forever, since both my mother and uncle are dead. I look forward to learning more, and telling you what I know.
I was born Beverly, but changed my name to Catherine.
Later, Catherine

Would it be possible for you to write directly to my email address? That would be easier for me than going through the ancestry website. Thank you.

Hi Darlene. This is Bill A. I'm sorry to intrude on your message board, but there wasn`t any other way to contact you. Anyway, I heard on the news on April 2 about the release of the 1940 census, but wasn't able to get back on the internet until now. I was wondering if you could look up Gerhard Arndts in the 1940 census for me? My e-mail is pegasi11@yahoo.com. Thanks. Sincerely, Bill. P.S. I tried looking it up on the government website, but it didn't have a search-by-name function, and it had a bunch of listings for enumeration districts in the city he lived in, and I don't know which one it was.
