There are many many Tkacz. Tkacz means Weaver in English
There are Tkacz from Austria,Hungary,Russia,Poland,
Bohemia etc. They are Catholic and they are Jewish etc.
There is no way to find the connections unless it is known that the Tkacz, they are from
the same villages.
The Tkacz that I am searching for are the ones that come
from village Wislok Welikiy, which was once in Austria-Hungary
or Galicia and now in Poland
The villagers were Ruthenian and Greek Catholic
Rysyn /Lemko/Ukrainian.
Osyp Tkacz went to Pennsylvannia in the early 1900s
Later he sent for his family but only his wife arrived
without the young children.
I can not find passenger list for his wife Paraska(Feszanycz)but I found out that she ended up in Northampton,PA and remarried Stepchak after Osyp died.Paraska died in 1951 there. She did not have any children in the USA
The 2 sons , Paul and George Tkacz, later also left their village but ended up in Windsor,Ontario
Canada. But they were already grown up by then.
There was much sadness.
