My Grandfather was Stefan Tkacz he was from warsaw in poland during the german invasion, he was taken to work from his family i think around the age of 16 and he never saw the rest of his family again.

he has since past away but his wife Helena tkacz just turned 91 last week. Stefan would have been i think around 94 if still alive.

im just interested if there are any relatives who may still know about this paticular time in ww2.

Tkacz also spelled as Tkach does mean weaver. It is a farly common name in the Ukraine. My fathers side comes from a village called Debeslavtsy (used to be Debeslawce and then Debeslavtsi) which is in the county of Kolomia (currently spelled Kolomyya).
