Dear Natalie,
Please see my original message below this reply to you.
I know almost nothing about my father's mother, the Romaniuk side of the family. But I do know her first name
was Tanya. Because my father is deceased, the only
way I will find anyone in my dad's family is for them to find
me through the recognition of the only names I have. It is
extremely likely my grandmother had siblings but I do not
know their names. I am counting on the memories of those
who may be alive who remember them but time is running
out.
Romaniuk does not seem to be a common name.
My father told me it means "born of Roman" - this Roman
is a link to the Rurik dynasty of the House of St. Vladimir.
For this reason, I suspect everyone with this name is
related to me, however distant.
I am so sorry I do not have more info for you. But if
you locate the name Tanya Romaniuk among your
family's records, please write me back.
