Missy, my Great Grandfather was Big Ole Olsen Tjomsland. He was the brother of Abraham Tjomsland who was Conrad Tjomsland's father. Abraham moved from Norway to Vashon Island in the mid 1870's and his brothers Big Ole and Andrew moved to Spokane, Washington in eastern Washington. The original home that your GGGGrandfather built still stands on Vashon Island and is called the Tjomsland B & B. The Thomsland family tree is on the internet. Under search, type "Tjomsland Royal Family Tree". The Tree goes back to the year 910. Keep in touch in your search.

Correction to my earlier posting:

Big Ole Olsen Tjomsland changed his name to Johnson and
Andrew Tjomsland changed his name to Jomsland. Little Ole
Olsen Tjomsland settled in South Dakota and the 4th brother,
Abraham Tjomsland, settled on Vashon Island in Washington
where the house he built in approximately 1891 is now the Tjomsland Bed & Breakfast.

How would I be able to get that family tree back to the year 900 as you mentioned? thanks so much- I am very curious about this line. Also, any other info would be great.
